A local restaurant in town has found a new way to give back to others during the holidays.

Farmers Feedmill Restaurant will host ‘Serving You in a Different Way Week' during the week of December 3-8.

Local business owners, leaders and individuals in the community are donating time to help raise money for needy families during Christmas.

Each participating individual will be paired with one experienced server, or host on a particular day.

Any tip donated will be used to purchase items for needy families.

Owner Jean Davis and manager Jill Blankenship thought it would be interesting to turn the tables, so to speak on customers.

“Some of these people have been coming here for years,” said Blankenship.

“How neat is it going to be to see them serving customers instead of being one themselves?”

A variety of specials are going to be available for purchase during the week as well.

“These people serve the community well in a variety of different ways,” replied Blankenship.

“I know they will do just as well at serving tables.”

The schedule for each day has been designated to a specific type of career.
