Stanley Chancellor Dennison, age 94, of Leitchfield, died Sunday, September 30, 2007 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born August 31, 1913 in Grayson County, the son of Josh and Lydia Chancellor Dennison. He was a farmer, and a member of Hanging Rock Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon for more than 70 years and also the caretaker of the Hanging Rock Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Carter Dennison of Leitchfield; his daughters, Jo Ann (Ray) Probus of Louisville, Ky., Dorothy (Clinton) Armstrong and Donna (David) Wooden of Leitchfield; his sons, J.W. (Patty) Dennison and Steve (Kathy) Dennison of Leitchfield; his brother, Percy of Louisville; and a daughter-in-law, Anne Dennison of Leitchfield. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Jackie and Randall; and two grandchildren, Diana Wooden -Witty and Dave Wooden.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Dermitt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, with Bro. Billy Carter and Bro. Musial Pearson officiating.

Burial will be in the Hanging Rock Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hanging Rock Cemetery Fund.
