This coming Monday, September 24, Grayson County Middle School's girls basketball program will hold “Ladies Night Out” to introduce this year's seventh and eighth-grade teams to their fans. The program will begin at 6 p.m.

The eighth-grade team will be defending their seventh-grade title as last year's Green River Valley Conference champions.

“We're expecting good things from them, but we have a task at hand,” said second-year coach Josh Belcher. “Any time you have success, or win a championship, as a coach you have to refocus.

“You don't want your team to be complacent because of what they did last season.”

The Lady Cougars will be led by point guard Kylee Gorby, and center Halee Johnston, last year's leading scorers.

Claire and Lauren Crawford, Jordan Decker, Jamilyn Hall and Erin Marshall return from last year. Breanne Schultz, Alisha Vincent and Katie Newton are newcomers this season.
