Residents to feel county-wide tax hike

Effective immediately, 10 out of 11 Grayson County taxing districts opted to increase tax rates four percent.

The fiscal court chose a general compensating tax rate increase. This rate guarantees the same amount received in previous year for the present year.

Grayson County Judge-executive Gary Logsdon and the fiscal court approved the changes on Tuesday September 18.

This was during a regularly scheduled meeting. A breakdown of real estate and tangible is detailed below. All figures listed below are cents tax per $100 property valuation.
