An accident on the William H. Thomason Byway sent two to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center on Sunday morning.

According to a Leitchfield City Police report, Daniel J. Petrucci, 39, was traveling west on Hwy 920 when he stopped his1999 Dodge Dakota at the intersection of the Byway (HWY 3155).

Petrucci stated he had stopped and looked in both directions and thought the coast was clear and proceeded to cross through the intersection, reported Leitchfield City Police Officer David Riley.

Judy E. House, 51, of Stewart Road, Leitchfield, was traveling south on the Byway and noticed the Dakota, driven by Petrucci stopped as she approached the intersection.

As she traveled closer to the intersection she saw the truck start to move. House was unable to avoid the collision between her 1994 Saturn SW and the Dakota driven by Petrucci.

House and her passenger Harold House, 64, were both transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for treatment.
