An altercation between two brothers in Clarkson led to one being sent to the hospital with stab wounds and the other spending a few days in the Grayson County jail.
Police say when they responded to the domestic dispute complaint last Friday at 5 p.m., they found Vincent Higdon, 30, in the basement of a home at 1657 Simms Road with multiple stab wounds. He was treated by Grayson County Emergency Medical Services and later flown to University of Louisville Hospital by LifeNet, the helicopter transport service.
Higdon was listed in stable condition upon arrival at the hospital.
Higdon's younger brother, 25-year-old Johnny Higdon, was taken from the property on Sims Road to the Grayson County Sheriff's department for questioning.
The younger Higdon was later arrested and charged with first degree assault. He was lodged in Grayson County Detention Center and released on a $25,000 cash bond on Monday, August 13.
Neither drugs or alcohol were involved, explained Grayson County Sheriff's Department Detective Terry Blanton. Tempers flared over a family altercation.
