City Clerk/Treasurer Alicia Hayes said this will involve using money set aside from Community Development funds. For road repairs $30,000 has be allotted. For sidewalk repairs $15,000 has been allotted.
A priority list was compiled for repairs concerning the sidewalks and the roads. City Commissioners Tom Livergood and Scotty Gore were in charge of surveying the city for damages.
Road repairs consisted of things like more gravel needed in areas. Ditch work needs to be fixed as well as widening of roads.
Sidewalks needed to be elevated or repaired due to cracking. Kathy's Corner located at 111 East Main Street is having water run in under the front door when it rains.
The Clarkson City Council is hoping to get improvements done to this location by the time of the Clarkson Honeyfest.
Scotty's Contracting and Stone Company located at 450 Quarry Road in Leitchfield was awarded the bid for all the pavement projects.
They submitted the only bid in the amount of $54 a ton for base and $55 a ton for surface. Both lists will be given to Scotty's.
Scotty's will evaluate how much of the work can be done concerning the funds received for each. Some of the other locations being looked at for each are as follows below.

the area between 118 West Main Street located on Highway 62 and the alleyway next to the gun shop
