A Falls of Rough woman barricaded herself in her apartment Sunday after firing at least two gunshots at Grayson County Deputy Sheriffs, according to police reports.

Lisa Humphrey 41, of Falls of Rough was arrested Sunday July 1, for wanton endangerment and terroristic threatening.

Sheriff Deputies Dave Colsten and Robert Jackson arrived first on the scene before Kentucky State Police. They attempted to secure the premises and evacuate residents of an apartment complex.

KSP Lt. Steve Pavey said Humphrey fired two blasts at the deputies then returned to her barricaded apartment. Then, Lt. Pavey said Lt. Shane West of the Kentucky State Police stepped in to assist with the situation.

West was the hostage negotiator in charge of talking down Humphrey. Pavey said she pushed open her window with her shotgun and then pointed her weapon in the direction of officers surrounding the premises.

According to Pavey, West fired his Glock pistol in Humphrey's direction hitting the shotgun. She then tossed her weapon out the window in a sign of surrender, according to authorities.

No one was injured in the standoff. The incident started at 1:30 p.m. and ended at 4:45 p.m.

Humphrey lives at 14723 - apartment C behind Leitchfield Deposit Bank in Falls of Rough. Kent Porter owns the Falls of Rough apartment complex.

She was arrested and taken to Grayson County Jail - Women's Annex in Leitchfield where she remains.

Her arraignment is scheduled for Thursday morning and bond was set at $10,000 cash.
