He is survived by his father, Mike Darst of Leitchfield; six brothers, Tom (Jenny) Darst of Mt Vernon, Ky., Dale (Donna) Darst, Billy Darst, Raymond Darst, Richard (Lori) Darst and Pat Darst, all of Leitchfield; and three sisters, Rita (Bill) Allen, Ruth Ann (Myles) Thomas, and Mary (Doug) Smith, all of Leitchfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hettie Smallwood Darst.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Johnson officiating.
Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery.
Rogers-Oller Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
