Jewell I Green, age 86, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown, Ky.

A long-time resident of Louisville, Ky., she moved to Hodgenville, Ky. in 1986 when her husband retired. She conducted Ministry for children at Sale Ave. Wesleyan Church in Louisville, Extended Hands Ministry and Roznoke House of Prayer in Hodgenville, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Green; her parents, Denny and Tenny Sebastian Smith of Leitchfield; and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Nancy Green; two brothers, Raleigh Smith of Leitchfield and Cody Smith of Crestview, FL; one sister, Dimple Pryor of Leitchfield; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Burial was in the Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in McDaniels, Ky.

Lavada Ann Powell

Lavada Ann Powell, age 63, of Leitchfield, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

She was born August 17, 1943. She was disabled, and a member of Apostolic Faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Regina Clemons of Leitchfield; one son, Waymon Powell of Leitchfield; one brother, James Grant of Leitchfield; seven sisters, Edna Gardener of Pleasure Ridge Park, Ky., Regina Wood, Frances Allen, Shirley Pennington, Darlene Decker, Alice Jaggers and Renee Higdon, all of Leitchfield. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Grant and Consulo Decker; one brother; and one sister.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, with Bro. Sam Fulkerson officiating.

Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
