He was born July 9, 1931 in Breckinridge County, Ky., the son of Paul and Emma Ruth Niles Drane. He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Florine Harper Drane of Westview, three brothers, Tony Drane of Westview, Eddie Drane of Hardinsburg, and Jim Drane of Owensboro, Ky.; two sisters, Peggy Moore and Nancy Lucas of Harned, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son , Lee J. Drane; and his parents.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, in Hardinsburg, with Rev. Gerald Elliott officiating.
Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
