She was born March 11, 1926 in Grayson County, the daughter of Jack and Alma Watson Jewell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Cottrell; two brothers, Allen and Carl Jewell, and two sisters, Nancy Jane Cottrell and Libby Cherry.
She is survived by two sons, James Cottrell of Hardinsburg, Ky. and Tooty Cottrell of Leitchfield; four brothers, Harlan Jewell of Leitchfield, Charles Cottrell of Battletown, Richard and Edward Jewell, both of Louisville, Ky.; two sisters, Mary Stevenson of Leitchfield and Gertrude Coates of Millwood, Ky. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great -grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday November 17, 2006 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
