He was born December 24, 1932 in Grayson County, the son of Luther and Pearl Milliner. He was a retired from the P. Lorillard Tobacco Company after 32 years of service. He was a dedicated member of the New Salisbury Full Gospel Church in New Salisbury, IN, serving as board member and deacon for many years.
He is survived by his wife; Frankie Milliner; two sons, Herschel Willis Milliner Jr (Lee Ann) of Louisville, and Dallas Milliner (Rominta) of Pendleton; four daughters, Diane Arnett (Gary) of Shepherdsville, Ky., Karen McCormick of Scottsville, Charlotte Miller (Ed) of Palmyra, IN, and Kimberli Hammond (Tim) of Fairdale, Ky.; three brothers, Franklin Milliner of Leitchfield, Charles Milliner of Big Clifty, Ky., and Louis Milliner of Cecilia, Ky.; and three sisters, Glennie Drane of Big Clifty, Mabel Milliner and Thelma Self, both of Leitchfield. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, Stephanie McCoy, Nicollw Meador, Melanie Lamm, Jeremy and Nicholas Miller, Jason McCormick, Amber Merrifield, Holly Jo, Megan, Gabrielle, Shelbi, Sarah, and Madison Milliner, Kayla and Jacob Hammond; 13 great grandchildren, Brooke, Austin, and Chandler Miller, Brandon Albin, Caleb, Caylie, and Cameron McCoy, Lucas Meador, Haley and Whitney McCormick, Haley Milliner, Logan Merrifield, and Mason Lamm;
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ernest and James Leslie Milliner.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Mt. Hebron Gospel Mission Church in Leitchfield.
Burial will be in the St. Francis Cemetery.
Watson & Hunt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, was in charge of the arrangements.
