Incumbent Ron Lewis, R-Cecilia has won another term in the U.S. House of Representatives.

His campaign against Democrat Mike Weaver, a retired Army colonel, was one of his toughest.

Lewis begins his sixth term in the U.S. House.

Incumbent Gary Logsdon defeated his Democrat opponent, Milburn VanMeter. Logsdon, a Republican, begins his fourth term in the county Courthouse. The other Grayson County Fiscal Court winners are:

Harold Johnson, R-Clarkson, District 1, Presto Gary, R-Caneyville, District 2, Bill Skaggs, R-Leitchfield, Dist.3.Opposi-tion withdrew, Jason Dennis, R-Leitchfield, Dist. 4. No opposition. , Andy Logsdon, R-Clarkson, District 5. , Curtis Wells, R-Leitchfield, District 6.

Jimmy Anderson, R-Clarkson, is constable in District 1 (no opposition), and Mike Tarrence, R-Caneyville, also had no opposition in District 2. In District 3, Mike Lindsey is the winner. Gary Dennis, R-Leitchfield had no opposition in District 4. It is the same story for Mark Eugene Williams, R-Clarkson, in District 5. In District 6,Alton King won another term.

Incumbent Elois Downs will serve a full term as Circuit Court Clerk. She defeated Kerry White, Leitchfield City Clerk-Treasurer.

Incumbent Democrat Carletta Farris took a second term by defeating Cyndi Lively for the County Clerk's job.

Darwin Dennison, R-Leitchfield, defeated Democrat Qulin Escue. He will be sworn in as Grayson County Jailer in January.

Leitchfield City Policeman Rick Clemons, a Republican, defeated Democrat Steve Alvey for Grayson County Sheriff.

In city races, it appears that Incumbent Clarkson Mayor Bonnie Henderson will keep the title. Because of a computer malfunction, complete totals were unavailable at press time

The totals were preliminary late Tuesday, but Dennie Wilkerson came in a close second.

Four of the six candidates for commissioner in Clarkson appear to include Keith Higdon, Tom Livergood, Scotty Gore and Kay Gibson. Higdon and Livergood are incumbents, and Gore and Gibson were appointed to fill vacancies on the commission.

In Leitchfield, there were nine candidate for the six seats on the council.

Apparent winners for council seats include Billy Dallas, Jerry Schlosser, Kelly Stevenson, Steve Dennison, Brenda Huffman and Wales Montgomery.

In judicial selections, Bruce T. Butler, left, of Hardinsburg, will be Grayson County's new Circuit Court judge.

He ran unopposed for the seat vacated by Judge Sam Monarch, who earlier announced his retirement.

He joins 46th District Division 2 Judge Robert A. Miller, also unopposed.

Judges Tom Lively and Shan F. Embry, district judges, first and second divisions in Grayson County, remain on the bench, since both judges were unopposed.
