Charles Ray "Chuck" Gibson Sr., age 56, of Leitchfield, died October 26, 2006 at his residence.

He was born November 14, 1949 in Jeffersonville, Ky., the son of Charles Murrell Gibson and Delores Ann Stintson Barret. He was a 1st District Constable of Grayson Co. #237, and a member of the Wilhelm Masonic Lodge F&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Lisa Gibson of Leitchfield; one son,, Charles Ray Gibson Jr. of Lincoln, IL; four daughters, Ann Louise, and Michelle Lynn Gibson, both of Lexington, IL, Kristina Lee Gibson of Rentoul, IL, and Lisa Jean Dinger of Lincoln, IL; one step-son, Luke Alvin Smith of Leitchfield; one step-daughter Tiffany Renee Mattingly of Leitchfield; his mother, Delores Ann Barret of Leitchfield; six brothers, Larry Lee, James Thomas, William Clifford, and Vance Lewis Gibson, all of Leitchfield, Alvin Dale Gibson of Caneyville, Ky., and Daniel Douglas Gibson of Clarkson, Ky.; five sisters, Shirlen Kay Gibson, Mary Ann Cannon, Junetta Marie Carroll, and Rebecca Lynn Smith, all of Leitchfield, and Donna May Smith of Oklahoma City, OK. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Murrell Gibson; two daughters, Jessica and Jennifer Gibson; and two grandsons, Randall W. Cutshall and Blake Anthony Gibson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel.

Burial was in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
