Several outdoor storage buildings in the Nolin Lake area have recently been the target of thieves, according to the Grayson County Sheriff's Department.

GCSO Detective Terry Blanton said Thursday morning (June 15) that six storage buildings in the Rocky Hill Estates have been broken into, with robbers taking a variety of items, such as power tools and other types of outdoor equipment that lake area homeowners use to maintain their properties in the summer months.

Blanton said the problem is one that is “on and off,” and that it is has been going on for a while.

According to Blanton, the break-ins were discovered after homeowners noticed things such as locks being busted off the storage buildings and then finding that items were missing.

Anyone with information regarding the recent thefts can contact the Sheriff's Office at (270) 259-3024.
