The lane restrictions are for a rehab of the Western KY Parkway between mile point 83.30 and mile point 91.20. Scotty's Contracting and Stone LLC, has been awarded a contract to provide drainage and construct an asphalt overlay on the parkway.
The work runs from near the KY 505 Underpass in Ohio County to near the KY 736 Overpass in Grayson County.
Construction is expected to be completed in late September.
During construction there will be lane closures, with traffic in one lane only, and the speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. To ensure compliance and improve safety for the public and the construction workers, DOUBLE FINES will be applied for speeding in the work zone.
Extra Kentucky State Police and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement units will patrol in the area during construction to maintain the work zone speed limit.
