Faye Johnson Lindsey, age 61, of Leitchfield, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

The Edmonson County native was the daughter of Oscar and Effie Basham Johnson. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Sunny Point General Baptist Church.

She is survived by her companion, Luther Russell of Leitchfield and his children, Titus (Sue) Russell of Leitchfield and Crystal Kay Deweese of Taylorsville, Ky., and his five grandchildren. Also surviving are her son, Herman (Dedra) Lindsey of Leitchfield; her three daughters, Georgia (Darrel) Decker of Rockport, Ind., Wanita (Jimmy) Lawson of Hawesville, Ky., Carvella (Virgil) Whorley of Philpot, Ky.; her sister, Mae (Raven) Lindsey of Brownsville, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Darrell Adam Decker, Ashley Fay (Paul) Schroader, Jennifer Faye and Jake Coomes, Courtney Jean and Chelsea Faye Wimmer, and Amanda Kay Lindsey; and one great-grandchild, Lillieanne Faye Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; and two grandchildren, Michael James Lindsey and Dalton Edward Lindsey.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 30, 2006 at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel.

Burial was in the South Union Cemetery.
