He was born July 26, 1929 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, the son of Herpie and Ada Smiley Robinson. He was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Church, a Kentucky Colonel, lifetime member of the AFL-CIO, the Calvary and Joyful Heirs Quartet.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Robinson.
He is survived by two sons, Ron Robinson of Lebanon Junction, Ky. and Glenn Robinson of Leitchfield; one daughter, Peggy Haycraft of Leitchfield; his fiance, Rose Lucas of Leitchfield; one sister, Lena Butler of Leitchfield; and one brother, Hayden Robinson of Leitchfield. Also surviving are six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in Madrid, Ky.
