Lorena Hack Armes, age 69, of Caneyville, Ky., died Thursday, October 13, 2005 at the Baptist East Hospital.

She was born November 3, 1935 in Grayson County, the daughter of Roy Everett and Mirtie Elder Mudd. She was a retired sales clerk. She professed faith in Christ February 27, 1949 and joined the Pleasant Union United Baptist Church, and in 1998-99 moved her membership to Short Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Armes of Caneyville; three sons, Randy and David Cummings, both of Clarksville, Ind. and Garry Cummings of Sellersburg, Ind.; three daughters, Lucricia Davis of Clarksville, Debbie Clemons of Caneyville, and Tammy Fleener of Leitchfield; one sister, Kathleen Embry of Caneyville; three brothers, Louis and Roy Mudd Jr., both of Caneyville, and Charles Mudd of Jeffersonville, Ind. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Glendal Ray Cummings; two brothers, John T. and Elbert Mudd; and one sister, Louise Hack.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville.

Burial was in the Woodcock Cemetery with Rev. Gary Woosley officiating.
