He was born October 10, 1919 in Grayson County, the son of Guy and Myrtle Foreman Edwards. He was a welder, and a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruby Young Edwards; two sons, Lowery (Sue), and Raymond (Joyce) Edwards, both of Falls of Rough; four sisters, Dorlis Brante, Pauline Bratcher, Phyllis Johnson, all of Illinois, and Oma Young of Beaver Dam, Ky. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Dwayne Edwards, Deedee Whitely, Doug Edwards, and Amy Hayes; and nine great-grandchildren,.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Bro. Robbie Jones and Bro. Joe Watson officiating.
Burial was in the Yeaman Cemetery.
