Shirley Winford Phelps, age 77, formerly of Butler County, Ky., died Monday, October 3, 2005 at his residence in Louisville, Ky.

He was born June 19, 1928 in Butler County, the son of Claude and Maude Turner Phelps. He was a WWII Veteran, Korean Conflict, and Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Word of Truth Full Gospel in Louisville.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Phelps of Louisville; three daughters and a son-in-law, Elizabeth and (Ed) Clemons of Louisville, Nancy Nauglebell and Lyn Burger, both of Washington State; and one step son and step daughter-in-law, David and (Pat) McGuire of Georgetown, Ky. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Edward Dermitt officiating.

Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.
