The discovery of an active methamphetamine lab in the Duff community has resulted in two more arrests for manufacturing meth.
According to the Grayson County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded Friday night (Sept. 23) to an anonymous tip given to the Leitchfield Police Department about possible drug activity at a home on Taylor Cemetery Road.
Sheriff's deputies then reportedly went to the residence, where they detected "a strong chemical smell."
After immediately obtaining a search warrant, deputies then entered the home and reportedly found an active methamphetamine lab in a back bedroom.
They also found several ingredients used in the manufacturing of meth, along with some of the finished product and a firearm.
Deputies arrested Charles Carrier, 38, of Louisville, and Melissa Hornberger, 28, also of Louisville.
They were both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, enhanced by the possession of a firearm.
They were lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
