This is one of my biggest pet peeves; especially the toilet seat being up when it's my turn to use the bathroom.
If I were them I would learn to take a few extra steps to complete their job before exiting the bathroom and it would cause a lot less nagging they would have to hear from mom.
Oh yeah, the boys seem to have a problem closing the door while they're in the bathroom, too.
Were they raised in a barn? I don't think of my home as a barn, and besides, in most barns I've noticed that guys almost always close -- even latch -- all the doors. Why this habit can't be carried over into the home is something I can't understand.
I know it's a lot easier for a man to go to the bathroom than a woman, and there doesn't even have to be barriers around for them to go, but we're not outdoors.
If they don't like the idea of being closed in while they finish their business I would rather them just go outside, please; there are women in the house.
Maybe they should invent a sensor for when someone walks into the bathroom the door automatically shuts behind him and when they leave the toilet area, the lid automatically closes.
Part of this may just be the way men are wired. They wait until they simply have to go, so they assume that everything in the bathroom is designed around their last-minute rush. Well, it isn't.
Or, maybe they just don't like to be cooped up in a small space. It could account for the door left open. Anyway, it's a problem with the other girl in the house.
I took Shelby to the bathroom the other day, and she told me she wanted to stand up and use the bathroom. Now, I know she's a tomboy, but there are limits. Wearing boy clothes, and pretending Spiderman cars like it's her baby is okay, but the bathroom issue is a different story.
