A Cub Run man was taken to a Louisville hospital Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 10) after a one-vehicle accident.

According to Bryan Hammons with the Grayson County Sheriff's Department, Ryan Ford, 19, was traveling along Highway 88 (about eight and a half miles outside of Clarkson) in a 1998 Pontiac around 5 p.m.

He reportedly went around a curve, lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.

Hammons reported that the accident did severe damage to Ford's vehicle, causing both airbags in the car to deploy.

Ford was transported by the Grayson County E.M.S. to the Clarkson soccer field where they met a Life Net helicopter, which transported Ford to University Hospital in Louisville with possible head injuries.
