He was born January 14, 1916 in Pine Knob, Ky., the son of I.O. and Mary Elizabeth Kebbel Young. He was an army veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post #81, and a member of the Caneyville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ageline Young.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Sue and (Max) Vincent of Clarkson; and one sister, Lucille Morris of Glasgow, Ky. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Amanda Brown of Leitchfield and Lacy Vincent of Clarkson ; one great-grandchild, Owen Brown of Leitchfield.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. David Brown officiating.
Burial was in the Deweese Cemetery.
