A report filed by Deputy Jerry Henderson with the Grayson County Sheriff's Department stated that on Saturday a vehicle being driven by Heather E. Downs, 25, of Versailles, was traveling west on the Western Kentucky Parkway (about three miles east of Leitchfield) when it came upon another vehicle that was slowing to make a left turn.
Henderson said that Downs' 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser swerved around the other vehicle, lost control, crossed the median and overturned in the ditch.
Amy Black, 32, also of Versailles, who was partially ejected from the vehicle, was transported by Life Net to University Hospital in Louisville after sustaining more serious injuries during the crash.
Two other passengers, a one-year-old and a four-year-old were reportedly uninjured, the report said.
Downs was taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center after the accident and treated for head and face injuries.
The accident occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m.
