A 15-month-old girl has died at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville as the result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday (Apr. 2).

The Kentucky State Police reported that Trinity Blaze Eaves, the infant daughter of Aaron and Daryle Eaves, of Central City, died at the hospital around 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday (Apr. 6), just four days after the accident which put three others, including her parents, in the hospital.

KSP reports said that the Eaves' vehicle was parked on the emergency strip of the Western Kentucky Parkway at 1:30 p.m. when they were struck from behind by a vehicle being driven by George E. Howton, of McKenzie, Tennessee.

According to the report, "due to a possible medical condition and crosswinds, Howton's vehicle drifted into the emergency lane and rear-ended the Eaves' vehicle."

Aaron and Daryle Eaves were taken by Stat-Care to the University of Louisville Hospital with Class B injuries and their daughter was taken by Life-Net to Kosair with Class A injuries.

Howton was taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center with Class C injuries.
