Jack Cochran, age 77, of Caneyville, Ky., died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born September 5, 1927 in Tazwell County, Virginia, the son of George and Maggie Jenkins Cochran. He was a World War II Marine Corps Veteran, and a member of the Lighthouse Full Gospel Church.

He is survived by three brothers, Gilber Cochran of Caneyville; Claude Cochran of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thomas Cochran of Anneta, Ky.; three sisters, Hazel Mitten and Etta Rodriguez, both of Wayne, Mich., and Katie Poindexter of Inkster, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Cochran; and two sisters, Maggie and Estel Carol Cochran.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.

Burial was in the Kelly Cemetery in Caneyville.
