Five people arrested for allegedly manufacturing methamphetamines have been officially arraigned in Grayson District Court.

Appearing before Judge Shan Embry on Monday (Feb. 14) William Payne, Jr., 32, of Caneyville, Michael Harp, 26, of Caneyville, Lorna Garner, 27, of Brownsville, Crystal Brooks, 24, of Leitchfield and Larry Brooks, 28, also of Leitchfield, were all charged with manufacturing methamphetamines, 1st offense.

Larry Brooks was also arraigned on two other charges, including possession and trafficking of a controlled substance in the 1st degree and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Monday (Feb. 21) in Grayson District Court to determine whether or not the case should go to the Grand Jury.

These charges stem from a Thursday (Feb. 10) raid conducted by the Grayson County Sheriff's Department, in conjunction with the Kentucky State Police and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force during which law enforcement officers searched the Caneyville home of Payne, located at 10890 Beaver Dam Road, and found what they described as an active meth lab.

They also reported finding a large amount of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and several firearms.

All five are currently lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center and are each being held on $50,000 cash bond.
