Delmer Mercer, age 90, of Leitchfield, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Leitchfield Health Care.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; and parents, Franklin Benjamin and Noma Mercer.

He is survived by two daughters, Juanita Kiper of Leitchfield, and Sharon Kay Alvey of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two sons, Charles and Herman Mercer, both of Leitchfield; three sisters, Lottie Judd and Detrice Ruth, both of Louisville, Ky.; Allene Waddell of Elizabethtown; two brothers, C.L. Mercer and Nick Mercer, both of Leitchfield. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Chester Shartzer officiating.

Burial was in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.
