A Morgantown woman and her 11-year-old son were injured Thursday when the driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel.

Sheriff's Deputy Tony Willen reported the accident occurred when Alicia Anspach fell asleep driving on Ford Parkway near Clarkson.

Willen's report said Anspach's car struck a guard rail in the westbound lane, she overcorrected and struck a guard rail in the eastbound lane. The car came to rest in the median.

There were three children in the car, Willen reported, but only Anspach and an 11-year-old son were taken by ambulance to Twin Lakes Medical Center.
