This accident closed Anneta road for more than two hours Monday, Aug 1 while crews worked to clear the road of the logs spilled from the truck.
Two separate accidents involving overturned semis closed Anneta Road for several hours on Monday and Tuesday.

According to a report from the Grayson County Sheriff Department, Ronald Hall, 56, of Fordsville, was traveling north on Anneta Road Monday morning, Aug 1, around 11 a.m. and ran the semi off the right side of the road.

In am attempt to get the vehicle back on the roadway, Hall over corrected, lost control of the semi and it overturned, losing the load of lumber, reported Chief Deputy Tony Willen.

Anetta Road was closed for several hours on Monday while the logs were being removed.

Hall was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

A second accident occurred Tuesday morning just a mile from the accident on Monday, causing a detour of Anneta Road.

Department of Highway crews set up a detour and Traffic was rerouted from the southern Bloomington Road Intersection at Mile Point 6.9 to the northern Bloomington Road Intersection at Mile Point 11.7 due to an overturned semi.

Len Quesnelle, of Palmerton, Onterio, Canada was traveling south on Anetta Road when he lost control of the semi he was driving.

Quesnelle reported, “a big ol’ bug landed on my shoulder and when I swatted at it I lost control and landed in a ditch.”

The semi was hauling plastic car parts that had been loaded at Plastikon in Leitchfield, and was heading to Georgia to pick up more parts.

Diesel fuel spilled from the semi and cleanup took several hours. No one was injured in this accident.

It seems there's been a mix up with the story as to why my father, Len Quesnelle, ended up in the ditch. There was not a "big ol bug" on his shoulder that he was trying to swat off - a car rounded the bend up a head of him and was half in his lane so trying to do the right thing and avoid causing an accident he moved over to miss the car. He nearly had the truck corrected and back up onto the road when his passenger side steer tire struck a cement culvert and blew pulling him into the ditch and up the embankment resulting in the truck rolling onto the drivers side and sliding a ways down the road. Thankfully the wonderful people from the house that was about 75 feet away rushed out the make sure dad was ok because the car that initally caused the accident did not stop. I felt it was necessary to have the correct story attached to your reporters story - that way there would be no reason for nasty comments towards Canadians.
