Cindy Crawford signs with Brescia

Former Cougar starting center fielder, and 2003 GCHS graduate, Cindy Crawford, signed a grant-in-aid Thursday to attend Brescia University and play softball for the Owensboro school. Pictured above, Crawford is flanked by her parents, Lynda and Neil, along with younger sister Becca. Brescia Head Coach Brad Huskisson and Cougar Head Coach John Skaggs stand behind as Crawford signs. Huskisson is in his fifth year as the coach of the Bearcats. The NAIA, Region 12 team finished ninth in the nation last season after making it to the Sweet 16 the season before. The Bearcats were ranked in the top 20 all year last season and Huskisson hopes to break into the top 10 this year. Brescia finished with a 44-22 record last season.
