A second storm hit the county about the same time on Tuesday. Tree limbs were reported down over power lines, and police were reporting vehicles hydroplaning in the heavy rain.
Emergency Management Coordinator Randell Smith reported Monday's storm downed about 10 trees downed by the wind and some damage to buildings around the county.
Power outages, the result of trees blowing across power lines, caused some scattered outages, mostly in the Blowtown Road area.
Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation reported crews were out until midnight Monday, and managed to get power back on. The Poplar Springs area of Edmonson County also had several downed lines.
The same work crews traveled to Bowling Green Tuesday, the utility reported, to get power back to homes that took the brunt of the fast-moving storms.
The storms brought straight winds, reported up to 60 miles per hour in some areas, and lightning struck at least one tree in Leitchfield. Nickel-sized hail was reported in some counties surrounding Grayson.
