Gertie Mae Woosley Willis, age 91, of Caneyville, died on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at the Bowling Green Medical Center.

She was born June 7, 1912 as the daughter of William Thomas Sherman Woosley and Kate Jane Eyl Woosley. She was the widow of Finley Willis, a housewife, and a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Norma Jean Forsythe of Caneyville; three sons, Billy and his wife, Janice of Caneyville, Winston Willis of Leitchfield and Finley Willis Jr. of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; one sister, Vertie Gay Ashby of Pleasureville, Ky. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Greg Willis, Deborah McCullum, Barry Willis, Angela Brown and Robert Forsythe; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville.

Burial was in the Rabbit Flat Cemetery.
