Public Library celebrates National Library Week
A public library is a place of people. It's a place for people. April 18-24 is National Library Week and Grayson County Public Library has a week of events planned to celebrate people with a request that community people please join them.
Monday: Patron Appreciation Day with refreshments.
Tuesday: Workers Appreciation Day, to express your appreciation to the local staff.
Wednesday: Children Appreciation Day when children can receive a bag of goodies and a balloon.
Thursday: Behind the Scenes: See what goes on in the background . Hours: noon to 5 p.m.
Friday: Book Sale with buy one, get one free specials and mystery bags.
Saturday: Names will be drawn for contest winners.
The staff at Grayson County Public Library invites the community to join them in celebrating National Library Week, april 18-24. Games, prizes and food are available all week.


Charity golf set April 24
The 26th annual Zeta Chi Charity Golf Scramble is set for Saturday, April 24, at Legacy Golf Club near Leitchfield.
The scramble is the sorority's main fundraiser dedicated to helping people struggling financially and emotionally with cancer.
Occasionally, that support is directed toward other medical hardship cases.
The Leitchfield Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, an international organization of women, reports tee times at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (shotgun start). Legacy is at 397 Golf Course Road.
