According to a report from Sheriff's Detective Bryan Hammons, Hayes was travelling south when he ran off the right shoulder of the road. Hayes then exited the vehicle and fell in a ditch causing injury to his shoulder. Grayson County EMS transported Hayes to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
