Can you mail clowns?

Well, no. And Millwood Postmaster Gladys Duvall (left, behind the counter) wouldn't want to. The clowns -- Jean Kessinger and Danny Blankenship -- are at the post office serving do-nuts during Duvall's Customer Appreciation Day held Wednesday, Feb. 25. Pleasantly surprised customers include Robert Cooper (second from right), Kristen Stewart (center) and Kathy Stewart. Theressa Farris, postmaster relief person (right, behind the counter), was also on hand to say thanks to customers. "We're very fortunate to have the customer base we do," Duvall said, "and we felt it would be a nice gesture to say thank you with a little party." The post office moved into its new building at 6445 Beaver Dam Road three years ago.
