The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) teamed this week with local law enforcement to deliver free cable-style gun locks. Clarkson, Leitchfield and Caney-ville police departments and the Grayson County Sheriff's Office, are to get the locks that they will make available for free distribution. The distribution is part of the national Project ChildSafe initiative designed to make firearm owners more responsible about safe home storage of guns. The locks include a cable that runs through the firing mechanism of the gun, making it impossible to fire. Local locks are part of 350,000 sent to Kentucky. (Photo courtesy of Project ChildSafe)
