Wedding

Day - Higdon to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Day are proud to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brandy Rae Day, to Roy Ashley Higdon, the son of Mr. Lester Higdon and the late Reva Ashley Higdon.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church. The reception will follow in the church basement. All family and friends are invited to attend.

Krissy Stewart

Krissy Stewart, the daughter of Albert and Kathy Stewart of Millwood and the granddaughter of Doris and J. R. Mudd, graduated from Elizabethtown Community College Saturday, December 13, 2003. She now has an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Nursing, and is now

eligible to take the NCLEX exam to become a Registered Nurse. She is employed at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center and intends on pursuing her career in nursing at Twin Lakes.

Brescia releases Fall 2003 Dean's List

Brescia University students named to the Dean's List include: Samantha Sturgeon, a Junior; and Shelley Lee, a sophomore, both of Leitchfield. Students achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average and carried a course load of at least 12 hours.

Applications available for Repair Affair

Applications are available for Repair Affair. The first annual Repair Affair sponsored by the Grayson Co. Community Alliance will be held on June 5, 2004. Repairs that can be completed in one day will be done by volunteers.

Applications will be screened for income and resource eligibility and all applicants will be notified of approval or denial. All applications must be received in the office of Community Based Services by January 31.

Applications are available at the Food Pantry, Community Action Office, Extension Office, all Family Resource Centers, Sister Audrey and the Community Based Services Office.
