A three-vehicle accident on Hwy. 259 south, Monday, Dec. 5, sent two people to University of Louisville Hospital via Stat Care.

According to detective Bryan Hammons, a red Toyota Corolla driven by Angela Lundy of Smith's Grove was travelling north on Hwy. 259. She attempted to turn onto McGrew Church Road in front of a Cadillac El Dorado driven by Jane Harned of Leitchfield. The Cadillac T-boned the smaller car, knocking it into a Jeep Cherokee, driven by Mark Ashley, which was waiting to turn from McGrew Church Road onto Hwy. 259.

Anneta Fire Department was first on the scene and used the Jaws of Life to release Carolyn Crews, a passenger, of Bowling Green, from the Corolla.

Grayson County EMS transported four people to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for treatment. Lundy and Crews were transported to University of Louisville where they were treated and released.

In a separate collision, a Clarkson man was involved in a wreck on Interstate 65, Wednesday, Jan. 7.

According to KSP reports, Michael R. Barnes of Clarkson was injured when his vehicle struck another car driven by William L. Thomas of Bowling Green.

Thomas' car went under the trailer of a vehicle driven by John E. Renfrow of Greenville, Ind.

Hardin County EMS transported Barnes, with minor injuries, and Thomas, with serious injuries, to Hardin Memorial Hospital. Elizabethtown Fire Department also responded to the accident.
