Butler accepted the check on behalf of the Grayson County Ministerial Association, which will distribute the funds to needy families through local charitable organizations and agencies.

Season of giving

The Grayson County Ministerial Association accepts a $5,000 check to be circulated among needy families during the holidays. Here, the Rev. Chris Butler, right, pastor of Leitchfield Baptist Church and president of the association, receives the check from Eugene Smith, center, grand knight of the Knights of Columbus, and George Higdon, a Knights trustee. The funds come from the Knights' annual Benefit Christmas Auction, held in November.
