Avery Fleener, superintendent of the water/sewer department told the commissioners that the water had been turned off to the hydrant.
"We'll take care of it," Mayor James P. Embry assured Taylor.
Commissioners agreed to pay the city and county taxes on the new utility building in the amount of $535.26. The agreement to buy the building from Mr. and Mrs. Higgs was made in 2002 but the city didn't get the papers ready until 2003.
They also agreed to provide refreshments at the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Dec. 5.
A request to place rock on the banks of Dewey Cruze's property on U.S. 62 west was discussed then tabled until the next meeting on Monday. Dec. 8.
In old business, commissioners heard an update on the sewer system, further discussed options to help the Grayson County Community Alliance and selected Bryan Beatty and Anthony Clark to sell the surplus police cruiser.
After paying the monthly bills, the meeting was adjourned.
