Kidnapping charges in two counties have been filed against Terry Lawson, Leitchfield.

LPD Detective Gary Troutman has taken over the kidnapping case involving Lawson and Amanda Clements Lawson.

In Leitchfield, Lawson will face two counts of kidnapping and two counts of wanton endangerment.

The Breckinridge County Sheriff will charge him with one count kidnapping and three counts of wanton endangerment.

Lawson was charged after he led law enforcement officers on a chase that started in Leitchfield and ended in a two-hour standoff in McDaniels.

Lawson reportedly pulled a gun at the Leitchfield Police Station and forced Clements and a child into his car and drove away. The couple was at the station to exchange custody of the child when the abduction occurred, police said.
