Richard E. Justic, Jr., age 80 of Caneyville, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

He was born on January 21, 1923, the son of Richard Sr. and Alice Woosley Justis. He was a deacon of the Wilson Home General Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife Martha of Caneyville, one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Eva, of Caneyville; three sisters, Mayron Cockrel of Bowling Green, Ky., Virginia Smith of Colorado, Norma Jean Stratford of Florida; and one brother Paul Justis of Missouri.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003 at 1 p.m. at the Dermitte Funeral Home in Caneyville. Brother Buddy Brooks will be officiating with interment in the Wilson Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 3-9 p.m. Sunday, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday and starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
