During this year's American Cancer Society Relay for Life, a special luminaria ceremony will be held at the Grayson county High School on June 20, 2003.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life began in 1985 and remains a celebration of survivorship and remembrance that raises funds for and awareness of the fight against cancer.

This ceremony of light symbolizes the hope and courage with which we continue to work toward a cure for this deadly disease.

After sunset luminaria are lit and left glowing throughout the night to remind everyone of the incredible importance of their contributions.

Luminaria can be purchased for a minimum donation of $5 before the event or can also be made at the event. The attached form can be mailed to Luminaria c/o Belinda Hawkins, 5589 Elizabethtown Road, Clarkson, KY 42726, or are available at The Centre on Main. Please make checks payable to the American Cancer Society.
