Charles Ellis Robinson, age 78, of Leitchfield died on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at the Hermitage Manor in Owensboro, Kentucky.
He was born on August 8, 1924 in Concord, Kentucky as the son of W. P. and Lula Purcell Robinson.
He was a retired truck driver for Givens and Houchins Trucking and was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister, Dale and Bill Robinson and Ruth Bland.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Jobe Robinson of Leitchfield; five sons, Jerry and Michael Wayne, both of Leitchfield, Steven of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Patrick Thomas of Falls of Rough, Kentucky and Robert Morris Robinson of Millwood, Kentucky; three daughters, Janet Sue Robinson and Pam Jane Reece, both of Bowling Green and Sherri Lynn Keeley of Owensboro; two step-sons, Robert Deweese of Leitchfield and Walter Thomas Deweese of Nashville, Tennessee; two step-daughters, Norma Sue Deweese of Simpsonville, Kentucky and Robin Card of Crestwood, Kentucky; two brothers, Kenny and Frank Robinson, both of Louisville, Kentucky; three sisters, Katherine Fentress of Leitchfield, Alta Mae Burden of Louisville and Betty Sue Martin of Owensboro. Also surviving are seven step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, April 13, 2003 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with Bro. Denver Young officiating.
Burial was in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
