Clarkson Fire Depart-ment and Grayson County Sheriff's Office responded to a one-vehicle accident eight and a half miles out High-way 1214 on Wednesday, April 9 at 1:15 p.m.

A 17-year-old male was traveling westbound on Highway 1214. According to Deputy Mike Woosley, slick roads were a factor in the accident when the teen lost control of the car, hitting the edge of a fence and snapping a utility pole in half.

Deputy Woosley said the teen was transported by private means to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center with a hip injury.
