Construction on the Wendell H. Ford Parkway started Monday, March 17 and will continue for the next three months. The construction will involve lane closures and one local road closure.

The work involves a stretch of road between highway mile markers 112 and 115, from Millerstown Road to Crow Hollow Road.

The double lanes will be cut to one lane on each side of the parkway to allow Scotty's Contracting road crew to "break and seat."

"Break and seat" is a process of lowering the raised median and working on drainage. Scotty's will also be overlaying concrete and adding 10 more inches of asphalt on the road.

Crow Hollow Road bridge will close April 7 so that the deck of the bridge can be rebuilt.

It will remain closed throughout the duration of the construction.
